Chimney fires often start invisibly — inside the chimney. When the flames appear from the outside, it's already too late. SAFI sits where it happens, and reacts in seconds.

The problem

There are an average of 12 chimney fires every day in Norway during the winter. The fire department is called out – often to houses that could have been avoided.

The challenge

Chimney fires are difficult to detect from inside the house . Smoke detectors react too late, and the temperature in the chimney can reach 1000 °C without anyone noticing.

The solution

An automatic chimney fire extinguisher is mounted on the outside of the chimney . When the temperature becomes critical, extinguishing agent is released directly into the chimney — and you are notified.
